How to join NTI
What is the process for joining?
Membership of Ninpo Taijutsu Ireland is open to all clubs practicing an authentic line of Ninpo martial arts derived from Japanese tradition. To join NTI, prospective members need to:
* Contact us to get sent an application form. There is a €20 application fee.
* Be proposed and seconded by a minimum of two current members of NTI.
* Provide a copy or scan of a teaching license, as well as your most recently issued dan certificate from a recognised Japanese organisation. By applying you give permission for the authenticity of these documents to be independently assessed.
• Provide a copy of your current insurance certificate
What happens when I apply?
When we receive your application, it will be voted on by the existing members of the Ninjutsu Advisory Board, and if a majority agree to admit you, you gain provisional membership of NTI.
From this point, you have one calendar year to become a full member of IMAC. For this, the main instructor needs to have:
1 - a current Garda vetting certificate
2 - a level one coaching qualification
3 - a level one safeguarding qualification
4 – to have completed a self-assessment safeguarding checklist
And if the club teaches children, it must also have
5 – a designated children’s officer with level one AND level two safeguarding qualification.
Only full IMAC members in good standing are eligible to apply for grants and funding.
Are there ongoing membership criteria?
Yes, to remain a member of NTI, you must make sure your garda vetting, insurance and membership fees are kept up today. The amount paid by each club varies from year to year, but is usually around €50 for the year.
